Tai Chi is a stress and tension reduction method, a health exercise, a moving meditation, a philosophical path to help navigate the challenges in life, and a system of self-defense sometimes called the “soft” martial art. In 10 sessions, we will cover the principles of tai chi ch’uan and the postures and transitions of the first section of theYang-style short form.
I have studied tai chi for 12 years, first with Margi Kirschenmann and then with Laura Divine, both students in the lineage of Professor Cheng Man-ch’ing. I attended one workshop with Master Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo, one of the most respected students of Professor Cheng Man-ch’ing.
