The Yoga Loft Board Members, Consultants, and Key Volunteers
The board meets as needed, usually once a month.
Meet the Board Members
Patrice LeClerc, Board President, teaches Sociology at St. Lawrence University. She has long been interested in health issues, particularly for women, and teaches several courses with health and medicine as the theme. Patrice also writes and teaches about social movements and public policies. In spare (?) times she enjoys hiking and canoeing. Yoga classes and practice keep her sane and de-stressed, as do walks and runs with her golden retriever, Carly.

She spends most days with her sons and enjoys the outdoors, especially to rock and ice climb. |
Art Palmer, board secretary, is a native of Long Island. He taught high-school English for thirty-seven years, the last twenty-three at Brasher Falls. He first practiced yoga with Betsy Bommer in the early nineties, segued to Rebecca Rivers, and now works with Ellie Beeler. Now retired (!), he can indulge himself more in his love of music and books, exercise, yoga, meditation, and further progressions. |

Leah, her husband, and their two dogs moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Canton two years ago. She enjoys hiking, knitting, camping, and spending time with family. She also had a lot of fun this summer with her first garden. She looks forward to more involvement in the community and learning about yoga and health in the North Country. |
Jolene Carotenuto, a native of Rochester, NY, came to Canton in 2008. After moving several times in previous years, she is delighted to call the North Country 'home'. As a health educator and Registered Nurse, Jolene has had a long standing interest in women's and children's health care. She is currently pursuing a degree in Midwifery. In her free time Jolene enjoys yoga, running, cross country skiing, knitting and hiking with her partner Matt. |
