Alison McGinn is program consultant for the Loft. She has taken yoga classes with a variety of teachers practicing a variety of styles for over 10 years. Recognizing the therapeutic qualities inherent in the practice of yoga, Alison began searching for a style of yoga that addresses the mind-body-spirit connection in a more direct way. This search led her to Phoenix Rising Yoga, a one-on-one process that combines elements of classical yoga and contemporary talk therapy based in "client-centered" principles of RogerianTherapy. She is now a certified Yoga Therapy Practitioner and Phoenix Rising Yoga Teacher. For more information about the Phoenix Rising approach visit www.pryt.com |
