WHAT IS IT LIKE? We start with 30 minutes of easy and fun movements designed to loosen, stretch and energize every part of the body. All movements are done standing. It is choreographed to world music to bring out your inner dancer. The second half of the class is guided imagery, which will allow total relaxation through breathing techniques, body awareness and guided fantasy for problem solving, motivation, self-acceptance or other psychological work. You can choose to lie down or sit during the guided imagery. Guided imagery is proven to improve immune function, lower blood pressure and boost mood.
Wear comfortable clothing –no equipment needed.
Kathy Montan is a Body-Centered Expressive Therapist as well as a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist. She has given workshops for over 15 years.
