Janet was led to deepen her connection to yoga after being introduced to Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health by her aunt. This came shortly after Janet left behind her high-paced corporate career to cultivate a loving and mindful way of living, with an emphasis on service to others. With health, happiness, intuition, and total freedom in the forefront, she began researching Ayurveda and then yoga, soon beginning to notice the subtle signs of its approach from across her entire life. The more she learns, the surer she becomes that this is a path she was always meant to embark on. She often jokes that Yoga “ruined [her] life,” as it disrupted all of the things that no longer belonged.
In early 2025, seeking to further strengthen her knowledge and practice of yoga, Janet decided to pursue Yoga Alliance Certification, with anticipated completion June 2026. She seeks to diversify her personal practice through exploring any style available, and practicing as much as possible.
Janet enjoys North Country living with her spouse Tim, two children, and pets. They enjoy spending time on the river, exploring the outdoors, and listening to their favorite music.
At the Canton Yoga Loft Janet teaches "Yoga Essentials", a foundational class suitable for beginners.
