NEW TEACHER, NEW CLASS:
KAIUT HEALING YOGA

Please welcome new teacher Susanna Drogsvold who will be Zooming in from Boulder, Colorado.
Susanna, originally from the North Country, has been studying and teaching dance and movement in Boulder since 1980. For us she will be teaching Kaiut Healing Yoga onTuesdays at 12 noon. She describes this slow restorative practice as "An inward journey with gentle yoga sequences based on Kaiut yoga, bio-mechanics, somatic and contemplative practices." This is a class for everyone, including those who say they "aren't flexible" or "don’t do yoga". Register HERE

This workshop is designed to help you feel at ease in the virtual environment so you will be able to reap the benefits of yoga from the comfort of your own home. JANUARY WORKSHOPS

New Year's Day Yoga & Pranayama with Erica Norton
Friday January 1, 2021, $8 each or both for $15
Session #1: Active Yoga from 10:00-10:50am
Session #2: Pranayama from 11:00-11:45am

Session #1,
An energetic, Ashtanga-inspired asana practice including a variety of standing, seated, and reclining postures.
Session #2, Pranayama: consists of guided breathing exercises followed by an extended Savasana (deep relaxation).
NOTE: Erica is donating her time so all proceeds will benefit the Yoga Loft.

Introduction to Ayurveda with Alison Brant
Saturday January 16, 2:00-4:00pm, $35
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 13!  Register HERE

Registered participants will receive a dosha questionnaire to be completed prior to the workshop.
Ayurveda, sometimes called the sister science of yoga, is an ancient holistic approach to wellness. In this workshop, learn the basic principles of Ayurveda, gain insight into your unique constitution or dosha, and take away simple and practical tools for bringing balance into your daily life.

Explore the Prana Body, also with Alison Brant
Saturday January 23, 2-4pm, $35. Register HERE
Delve deeper into the concept of Prana or "life force". You will be introduced to the prana vayus, the five directions of energy flow that exist in the body, according to Ayurvedic and Yogic philosophy. This workshop includes guided meditation, informative discussion, breathwork and postures to animate and experience the five prana vayus.

NEW Hatha Yoga Flow with Lori Dye
Mondays 5:30-6:30pm

Mindful guided movement and stillness. Focus on breathwork with a slow yoga flow to find peaceful presence in your practice. All levels and modifications welcome. Welcome back, Lori Dye! Lori, who taught some very popular classes at the Yoga Loft a couple of years ago, moved from Canton to Florida. She now joins us via Zoom from Florida.

NEW QiGong: Flowing Focus with Mary Bartel
Mondays 8:30-9:30am
Register HERE

In these classes you will practice meditation-in-motion and stillness. Slow moving Qi Gong forms with smooth flowing breath for improved health and happiness. Beginners welcome.

NEW Therapeutic Yoga, also with Mary Bartel
Tuesdays 8:30-9:45am

Each class focuses on a particular area or condition of the body or mind such as Anxiety, Osteoporosis, Back & Shoulders, Digestion, etc. Learn how adaptations to classic yoga postures can support the movement of energy to relieve symptoms and enhance function. No prior yoga or meditation experience is required.

NEW Kripalu Yoga Basics with Cintia Hongay
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 4:30-5:15pm

Kripalu is a gentle Hatha Yoga practice with a compassionate approach. It places an emphasis on meditation, physical healing, and spiritual transformation that overflows from the yoga mat into daily life.

NEW TIME Ashtanga Yoga Express with Erica Norton
Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm, starting January 6

This class is a great introduction to the practice of Ashtanga yoga, an energetic practice for people in good physical health. Ashtanga Express follows a shortened version of the Ashtanga Primary Series, designed to fit into an hour-long class.The sequence will be similar each week.


LOOKING AHEAD to 2021

A new year brings new goals. Many of us are able to see a glimmer of light at the end of a very long coronavirus tunnel. Renovations at our new studio are (finally!) nearing completion! Unfortunately we all know that COVID-19 will be with us for a while yet, and there is still work to be done before we can welcome you in.

Please do consider a year-end donation to help support the final necessary steps to complete the studio renovations (trim, storage units, curtains, lighting, etc).  Because of your generosity, we have come so far. We look forward to being together in the studio safely soon!
