Ginger Storey-Welch taught elementary students for 37 years in Vermont and New York, and is now retired from Colton-Pierrepont School. After many years of doing meditative yoga, she began doing sitting meditation about 20 years ago and leads a twice weekly Zen meditation sitting on the St. Lawrence University campus where she has introduced many classes and individuals to the practice of meditation and mindfulness. In addition, she has learned a number of skills for cultivating a more peaceful life even in stressful times. She attends meditation retreats four times a year and loves sharing meditative skills with others.
She lives in Pierrepont with her husband, Doug Welch, cat, and two oxen. She and Doug have three adult children and seven grandchildren. A large 60' X 60' garden provides much food and meaningful work.
